Agreements Signed to Implement Community Awareness Activities in Regions

On November 6, Schools, Community and Police Engagement – Georgia (SCOPE) held a cluster meeting for its Raising Community Awareness component participants. PH International provides sub grants to five local NGOs to implement the final component of SCOPE.

The five NGOs developed programs and outreach activities in the communities they serve to raise awareness of important issues affecting youth such as trafficking, domestic violence, bullying, cyber security and cybercrime. PH has selected the following five NGOs based on their areas of expertise and their ability to deliver results:

- Kakheti Regional Development Foundation, Duisi, Pankisi Gorge

- Metsenati, Gurjaani, Kakheti Region

- Samtskhe-Javaketi Media Center, Borjomi, Samtskhe-Javakheti

- Association of Young Psychologists and Doctors XENON, Zugdidi, Samegrelo

- Young Pedagogues’ Union, Ozurgeti, Guria

Component implementers presented upcoming projects and grants agreements were signed. All five projects aimed at raising community awareness will start operating by the end of 2017.
