Tech4Good Event in Tbilisi - Empowering Georgian NGOs to Better Serve their Communities

In close cooperation with the Microsoft’s Regional and Georgia Offices, PH International in Georgia has organized the Microsoft’s “Tech4Good” event at Mediateka Vake Park in Tbilisi on June 16th, 2017. The goal of the event was to announce about the world-class solutions and technology programs, that would be offered to Georgian NGOs to support their efforts in better serving their communities.
 
During the event preparation, PH International identified local NGOs implementing educational and civil society development programs in various sectors. Along with NGOs, media representatives both from printed and electronic media were invited not only to cover the event for wider public but also to participate in the event. 
 
The event was lead and moderated by Berdia Natsvlishvili, the PH International’s Country Director in Georgia, as for the panel speakers they included Ketevan Vashakidze, the President of Eurasia Foundation who spoke about the role of Microsoft Technologies for non-commercial organizations; Avtandil Kasradze, the representative of the Agency of Information and Technology spoke about the role of Microsoft Technologies for the regional development; Vano Grigolashvili, the Head of the Association of Rural Development for Future Georgia spoke about the role of Microsoft technologies for institutional development; Giorgi Gvasalia, the Director of the Institute for Development of Information Technologies IDIT spoke about the importance of local NGOs using cloud services.
 
“Tech4Good” event was broadcasted live on the Microsoft Georgia Facebook page for the full duration of the event.
