Students of Village Vazisubani School Lead the Outdoor Green Space Project

Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 3 Aug 2016

Civics club students of the Vazisubani village public school initiated the arrangement of an outdoor green space on their school's territory. Students met with the Head of Vazisubani municipality and the Governor of Gurjani municipality of Kakheti region to advocate for the arrangement of the space. Local administration representatives liked the students’ initiative and provided tree seedlings and benches for the school yard. Civics club students took an active part in the cleaning and greening activities.

The green space at school will be a place where students and community members would be able to plan and conduct civics activities or just spend free time.

“We are looking forward for the new academic year to see the reaction of our peers. The surprise is waiting for the school students and teachers,” said Tornike Datunashvili, civics club member and student of Vazisubani public school.
