Social Media Training for Civics Teachers

Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 8 Dec 2015

On November 28-29, social media training for the civics teachers took place in Batumi for teachers from MT program’s partner schools in West Georgia.

Teachers learned how to create and use blogs for professional development and how to create e-portfolio on blogs. They explored opportunities for professional information-sharing via blogs about activities undertaken by their colleagues in a civics class.

"Training helped me to obtain theoretical knowledge about the importance of social media, I also learned about media literacy, which is part of the educational process. Most importantly, I learned how to create a blog. I want my blog to be interesting and diverse, I want to use it for sharing experience with my colleagues. The training was very interesting and needed"-said Ketevan Rusishvili, civics teacher from Batumi.

Social media training was organized in the framework of USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is implemented by PH International.
