Students and Teachers Continue To Support Tbilisi Flood Victims

Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 19 Jun 2015

School civics clubs students and their teachers continue their efforts to help the citizens, affected by the flood in Tbilisi.

Representatives of the Civic Education Teachers’ Forum in the regions of Georgia worked with their colleagues to mobilize support for those who suffered. Civics teachers and students collected money and bought food and non-food items for the flood-affected families.

Students in Batumi organized places at schools to receive donations. They also collected books and school items for their peers in Tbilisi.

Civics club alumni student in Zugdidi worked for a local cafe to help the victims of flood in Tbilisi with her income.

School civics clubs are supported by USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project in Georgia. The project is implemented by PH International.
