Civics Teachers’ National Fair-Conference

On May 16, 2015 USAID Caucasus Mission Director Mr. Stephen M. Haykin  joined Ms. Tamar Sanikidze, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and Ms. Marina Ushveridze, Director of the Civic Education Program “Momavlis Taoba” to open the fourth Civics Teachers’ National Fair-Conference in Tbilisi at the Tbilisi Expo Georgia event hall.

The civic education Fair-Conference brought together 400 civics teachers from across Georgia to discuss innovations in the field of civics education, share experiences, and participate in professional development.  Awards for the best civics teachers of the year were given to civics teachers at an award ceremony at the conference.

This event was sponsored by USAID and organized in the framework of the Momavlis Taoba (MT) program. MT is implemented by PH International in partnership with the Centre for Training and Consultancy, Civic Education Teachers’ Forum and regional non-governmental organizations. Teachers’ Professional Development Center is a supporter of the Annual Conference.
