GE CALLS funded another project in the framework of Community Initiatives Grants Program. New Generation for Better Future is a vocational education project working in IDP settlement of Tserovani. With support of local government of Tserovani, which is a dense settlement built after 2008 war with Russia and populated by IDPs from South Ossetia, the project group arranged three vocational courses: • Cloisonné enamel class – the course is mostly practical, with minimal amount of theoretical material. The students will work on various accessories during 19 weeks. • Woodwork – another practical course during which the students will make various souvenirs as well as benches for the Tserovani park, which will be redesigned and renovated by the beneficiaries working in - • Landscape design class (available from Spring) – the group of students will work with a professional designer on cleaning and redesigning of the Tserovani park. The students will collect some waste products, refurbish and paint them and turn into decorations. The woodwork class students will make benches for the same purpose. All courses are led by professional teachers. The project is implemented by NPLE Alliance of Lawyers, supported by PH International Georgia’s GE CALLS program, funded by The US Department of State’s International Bureau of Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL).
