GE CALLS Poti Project Final Event

Poti project named Young Artists Club, implemented in the framework of GE CALLS grants program, held a close-out ceremony on June 1. The project was implemented by Poty Library Union. In the framework of project photo and video labs, theater club and book restoration workshop were created at the Poti Library. The event was held at the Library. Project beneficiaries presented the results of 3-month work: photos and restored books were exhibited for the guests to see. Theater club made small performance based on the works of famous Georgian writer Nodar Dumbadze. Video lab members presented social videos and short films. The event was attended by vice-mayor of Poti, representatives of department of cultural affairs of city hall, school principals and students, parents of beneficiaries and representatives of PH International. During the event the director of Poti Library, project manager Nunu Chelidze and GE CALLS Manager Tinatin Ebanoidze addressed the guests spoke about importance of the project. By the end of the day project beneficiaries and their mentors were awarded certificates. Although a 3-month project has come to its end, Poti Library plans to maintain all the clubs and labs. All four workshops will continue working from September.
