Excellence through Collaboration: English Language Teachers’ Associations start a new academic year! | 2 Oct 2014


On September 25-27, 2014 a nice city of Kolomna in Moscow region hosted the international conference “Excellence through Collaboration”. Representatives of English Language Teachers’ Associations from all over Russia try to meet twice a year. One meeting is known as the “Umbrella Gathering”. The Umbrella Gathering is a meeting of association leaders who come together for a two-day program of brain storming sessions to define the most important issues, projects, trends in ELT for the coming year.

ACCESS Alumni Association created in sessions at Orlyonok children’s center. | 21 Oct 2013


From October 16 – 22, 2013 the Russian Children’s Center “Orlyonok” hosted a workshop for ACCESS Alumni. Seventeen alumni representing 13 cities of Russia as well as ACCESS teachers and trainers gathered on the Black Sea shore to discuss the possible development of the Russian ACCESS Alumni Association.

All-Russia Children’s Center “Orlyonok” Hosts Special ACCESS Camp | 20 Oct 2013


The Solnechniy camp of the All-Russia Children’s Center “Orlyonok”, talking place from October 10-30, is bringing together participants of the ACCESS program from across Russia. ACCESS is administered by PH International and funded by the English language office of the US Embassy in Moscow. ACCESS sites are located in 22 cities of Russia.

It’s been the second year when PH International is responsible for the Access students’ trip to the All-Russia Children’s Center “Orlyonok”. This year 140 students were selected not only to spend three weeks on the Black Sea coast but to continue their intensive studying English language.

Nalchik ACCESS Summer Camp came to its conclusion in Kabardino-Balkaria | 5 Jul 2012


Nalchik Summer Camp (15.06.2012-05.07.2012) for 10 children was held at Kabardino-Balkarian State University. Upon completion of the camp the students became more self-assured, sociable, and overcame their fear and shyness. They improved their language and communication skills by taking part in different activities and becoming team players.

Thirty students under the guidance of ten native speakers learnt and played in Ufa ACCESS camp | 30 Jun 2012


ACCESS English Language Summer Camp for 30 youth from low-income families in Ufa and the environs was held from 9th June till 29th June, 2012 and lasted 14 full days. The campers had a marvelous opportunity to upgrade their EL conversation skill in an informal setting, Russian American cross-cultural communications with their EL instructors based on modules and sessions which related closely to their hobbies and pastimes such as games and exciting activities, the Internet and the IT, sports, arts and crafts, singing, dancing and drama, Bashkir-Russian-American cross-cultural values and parallels, etc.

Fourteen students from Khasavyurt learnt English and played games at the ACCESS camp | 26 Jun 2012


Summer camp was held at Gymnasium # 1, whose director provided a computer lab and English study room. The camp opened June, 10 and worked until June, 26. Every day English classes were held and 14 students worked in the computer laboratory, watched English-language films, worked with excerpts for checking understanding and discussing, etc., and learned to sing both traditional and modern American songs.

Two native English speakers were highlights of the ACCESS summer camp in Salavat, Republic of Bashkortostan | 23 Jun 2012


The English language summer camp in Salavat was held in the in-city format and lasted 3 weeks from the 1st till the 21st of June, 2012. This year Salavat Access summer was hosted by Lyceum # 1 again. Eleven children stayed in the camp from 9 am till 3 p.m.

World of Arts was discovered by ACCESS campers in Syktyvkar | 11 Jun 2012


The ACCESS camp in Syktyvkar was opened from the 1st of June till the 11th of June and was based in the Syktyvkar State University. The theme of the camp was "World of Arts". Each day was devoted to a definite topic. They were: Music, Theater, Cinema, Museums, Picturing America. The aim of the camp was to reveal American culture and to compare it with the regional one.
