Georgia | Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training (ACETT) program for Georgia | 17 Jun 2014

On May 16-30, 2014 students, teachers, school administration officials, parents, local government, NGO and media representatives took part in the events to hear more about the final results of the Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training Program (ACETT) in all 11 regions of Georgia. Events featured presentations of students and teachers portraying the benefits, which their projects brought to schools and communities. During these events, wide audiences of students, teachers, school administration officials, local Government and media heard about the impact that improved quality of school-based civic education and active civic involvement of youth made on schools, youth, teachers and communities. Students have demonstrated photos, posters, slideshows, short films about active citizenship, and showed their own blogs on civics issues. The winners of the school civics clubs’ equipment contest were also awarded at these events. Events were covered by local media.
