On 26 June 2009, the IDEA Center in the Far East state academic library (Khabarovsk) hosted another meeting of the Spectrum Club for blind PC users. The club members reviewed the events and achievements of the year and made plans to invite other visually impaired library patrons to join their club and acquire basic computer skills.
The meeting was attended by fourteen members who together discussed the highlights of the year before breaking for the summer. One of the members, Irina Vanyukova, had recently participated in the special managerial training for people with disabilities held by Reacomp Institute and brought back test materials for different levels of PC competence (1 through 4). At the final meeting before the summer break Spectrum members decided to test themselves using Level 3 materials and completed all the assignments without much difficulty.
The club meeting concluded with an improvised concert where graduates of the local Institute of Culture and Arts performed several songs, and club members Marina Lysenko and Yevgeniya Rubtzova recited some of their own poems.
