On May 25, Access Program in Gori hosted an enrichment activity devoted to the Day of Independence of Georgia. The main goal of the activity was to raise the students’ awareness about the history and importance of this national holiday and also draw parallels between the Independence Day celebrated In Georgia and the United States.
During a recent youth conference organized through the PH-administered ACETT program, young activists successfully galvanized support for the establishment of a cinematic club. The event was hosted by the Kutaisi Education Development and Employment Center, a partner NGO of ACETT.
The Access Program in Gori held an enrichment activity devoted to the topic of Leadership on April 28. The activity aimed at developing leadership qualities among Access program students and encouraging them to become future leaders in their communities.
Inspired by the topic of one of the ELCE Program modules, Volunteerism , and having the Earth Day celebration in mind, teachers and students of Kurdghelauri Public School, Kakheti region led by ELCE Program ELTT Judy Elliott decided to put their efforts together and do some landscaping in Kurghelauri Public School yard.
On April 25, Akhaltsikhe Access Program students started to watch the series “Connect with English” - the film that explores American Language and Culture in 48 fifteen-minute-long episodes and serves as a great resource not only for improving English, but also increases the knowledge and awareness of American culture, values, and way of life.

The cooperation of ZANG program and UNICEF often brings exceptional and unexpected results. This time these two partners joint their efforts for making possible another unique project – creation of one-minute videos by juveniles.
During April 9-13 period sixteen teenagers from seven regions of Armenia have come together in Yerevan for one-week-workshop as part of the OneMinutesJr. This training is a part of wider project to end torture and ill treatment of children, supported by the European Union in partnership with UNICEF. The aim of the project was to write, film and produce movies that tell about the experiences the juveniles had while conflicting with the law. Though the assignment seemed simple, still it required not only creative approach and original ideas, but also accuracy and an ability to present everything in one minute only.
