College graduates in Rivne learned about secrets of successful business at the training ‘How to start your own business’, held as part of IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark. The training was organized by experts of IDEA Center IDEA affiliated with NGO ‘Chayka’ (Seagull). Youngsters learned where one can take a business idea from, what a business planning is, and how important is being aware of all legal aspects of business.
“Theater for Everyone” was the slogan of the advocacy campaign conducted by Gori school-based civics club students to support children with disabilities.
On April 24, Akhaltiskhe Legal Club held an event dedicated to the problem of gambling among youth.
The event started with presentation about gambling, describing the root causes why youth get involved and the negative outcomes of it. The students also admitted that the Government of Georgia should inflict some restrictions on gambling houses.
Civics club students of Tbilisi “Green School” organized debates on European Integration with their peers from the “Union of Blind in Georgia”. Final debate tournament, held at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs was a follow-up event of student trainings and workshops in debates and public speaking.
Winner students of the video contest on civic integration were awarded on March 25 in Akhaltsikhe. School civics clubs students, Georgians, as well as ethnic Armenians took part in the competition.
On April 19, Telavi Movie Theater hosted a premier of the new short-film made by GE CALLS-funded Telavi Media-Lab.
Topic of the new film is youth suicide and bullying.
This is the third short film by the Lab members.
On April 12, Khashuri Youth Club held its closeout event at Khashuri Library. The event aimed at showcasing the results and outcomes of the project and was attended by friends and members of the families of participants.
The Institute for War and Peace Reporting prepared coverage about the operations and the sustainability of the 11 Community Justice Centers (CJCs) established in Armenia by PH International and the other 2 CJCs opened by Penal Reform International in cooperation with the Fund for Armenian Relief.
