Training on advocacy for youth in Gori | mt | 20 Feb 2015


On February 8, students from MT project’s partner schools in Shida Kartli region took part in training on advocacy.Students learned how to plan and conduct advocacy campaign and also received information about the successful precedents of advocacy efforts carried out by their peers in school-based civics clubs. Such efforts brought significant benefits to local communities.

Training ‘Creating games with Kodu Game Lab’ | idea | 19 Feb 2015


February 19, 2015. A training ‘Creating games with Kodu Game Lab’ was held at Morochnensky school, Rivne oblast (region) for 5 - 7 grade students. The training conducted within the project "IDEA supported by Microsoft YouthSpark" by IDEA Center in Rivne created by NGO ‘Chayka’ (Gull). During the session, the trainer lead the participants through the Kodu Game Lab visual designer, and they learned about its interface and tools. As a result, the students received basic information on creating computer games and basic knowledge for further work with Kodu. Everyone also learned about possibilities for studying computer literacy in the IDEA training center in Rivne.

”Future Generation Chooses Peace” | mt | 4 Feb 2015


Over 200 students from partner schools of “Momavlis Taoba” project in Adjara region organized a march entitled -”Future Generation Chooses Peace”. In the march that took place on January 27, 2015, drawings and flash mob show were held by students. Through this event, the students, together with their peers from Maritime Training Centre and Batumi Youth Palace expressed their opinion against terrorism, violence and war, and raised public awareness about the importance of peace. The March took place in Era Square in Batumi.

Students Campaign for Environmental Protection | mt | 4 Feb 2015


On January 28, civics club students of Tbilisi school “Iveroni” summed up results of their activities at the school library. “Green Boxes-Protection of Environment” was the title of their initiative which aimed to protect an environment. Students spent a month to collect the scrap paper in the community and exchanged it into new books. Eighteen new books were delivered to the school library.

Exhibition of students’ works on -”Government and Violence” | mt | 4 Feb 2015


On January 29 Akhaltsikhe Art School hosted exhibition - “Government and Violence” - of students’ drawings. Students from 14 partner schools from Samtskhe-Javakheti region presented their works to expressed their attitude towards violence and terrorism and emphasize the role of government in the fight of violence.

Joint art-project between GE CALL's participant schools “Art and Human” | ge calls | 29 Jan 2015


Apart, from legal culture lessons GE CALLS-participant schools are actively implementing several activities in the frames of the action plans created on Ge Calls trainings.  As part of networking and cooperation with other participant schools from another region, Kutaisi school #17 and Rustavi school #6 organized a joint creative project. Teacher of art from Rustavi school #6 organized a joint photo-exhibition in the frames of GE Calls program.  In one day, students managed to perform photo shooting, printing and exhibiting their works in one of the halls of Kutaisi school #17.  The title of the exhibition was “Art and Human”.  Around 40 students were involved in the project, each has presented three photos. The exhibition proved to be very impressive for the guests, among which were students, parents, teachers, school resource officers and other.
