Margaret Harris
Director of Program & Fund Development

Meg Harris started as PH International’s Director of Program & Fund Development in April 2015. She has over 20 years of experience in project management, fundraising and evaluation for international education and development organizations. She most recently worked as development coordinator and operations advisor for the Wells Mountain Foundation and Maliasili Initiatives, respectively. Previously, she was executive director of The BOMA Project, a non-profit focused on the economic empowerment of women in Northern Kenya. Prior to that, she worked with the Salzburg Global Seminar, ARD (now TetraTech), Partners for International Education and Training (PIET), and the Overseas Development Network.

Meg spent her formative years in Nigeria, Zambia and Kenya and graduated from high school in Kenya. She earned a B.A. from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario and a M.A. in Adult Education, focusing in Comparative, International and Development Education,
from OISE at the University of Toronto. Meg benefited from adventurous parents and has continued that tradition with her family – she loves to travel and has visited all continents but Australia and Antarctica.

Meg lives in Cornwall with her husband, Raph, along with their horse, dog and cat. Their daughter, Bronwyn, is a recent graduate of McGill University and lives in Montreal. Meg looks forward to working with PH on leadership/youth development, cultural exchange, and civil society strengthening programs in Eurasia, and expanding PH’s programming to other regions.
