Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 21 Sep 2016

Students of village Purtio public school carried out community survey to identify critical problems for their community. Cutting of the trees was identified as one of the problems. Students prepared short video on a topic and showed it in a meeting with environmental office representatives and community members. At the same meeting, students spoke about bad ecological situation in the village. The meeting was followed by a greening action with participation of students and community members who donated young trees for the greening of the school yard. Camera and digital equipment was purchased with a mini-grant.

The mini-grant project was carried out  in the framework of the USAID-funded "Momavlis Taoba" program, which is implemented by PH International.
