Rehabilitation of the Library at School

Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 10 Aug 2016

Students of Zestaponi school “Anabasisi” cooperated with the school administration which aimed to enrich the school library with new books  and promote reading among youth. Students organized an action “one book for the school library” and collected 100 new books. The school administration supported the project and conducted renovation of the library.

The newly rehabilitated library at the school hosts events organized by students. One of the events was held shortly after the opening of the renovated library. The event was dedicated to tolerance and equality issues. Ethnic Jewish representatives of the community were also invited to attend the event.

"We're going to arrange tolerance and equality events in the future and will contribute to the students' tendency to respect people with different religions, races and beliefs,'' said Tea Samkharadze, Civics teacher of the school “Anabasisi”.
