Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 1 Aug 2016

Students of Jinvali public school Ana Ganiashvili, Tornike Gulishvili and Giorgi Nakeuri, in the framework of the MT program's nationwide competition “Social Media for Positive Changes”, created a Facebook page named “Facebook Museum of Jinvali Water Reservoir” for sharing photos and stories collected from archives, libraries and interviews with community members. https://goo.gl/435asd

The page has to date generated more than 2000 views and 400 comments. Discussions were held on the page concerning water reservoirs’ positive and negative influence on social and ecological issues in general.

"It was very interesting to work on the project. We were collecting photos and memories. The comments indicated that visitors are interested in this topic. They also shared with us their photos and information. The competition is over, but we are going to continue our work in summertime to search and upload new information onto the page," said Ana Ganishvili, civics club leader and student of Jinvali public school.

The project “Facebook Museum of Jinvali Water Reservoir” was awarded in the special nomination category “Sympathy of Jury”.
