ACETT Civics Clubs Discuss Youth Problems in Samtskhe-Javakheti

On June 22 the students of ACETT (Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training Program) partner schools gathered in Akhaltsikhe to participate in a theatre performance and discussions, dedicated to youth problems. Performance was based on the scenario, developed by students, which helped to clearly demonstrate the most common problems, Georgian youth face nowadays (violence among youth, law violations, gambling). Discussion, which was held after the performance, helped to identify the ways for the prevention and solution of these problems. At the event, civics club students have also presented self-made videos about bullying, child rights and about the choices, youth make in their lives. Event was organized by PH International’s partner NGO in Samtskhe-Javakheti region – Akhaltsikhe Youth Center. Students, civics teachers, parents, educational resource center and local municipality representatives have participated in the theatre follow-up discussions.
