ACETT School Civics Clubs present the results of the year

Civics Clubs, established in the framework of the Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training Program (ACETT) held annual presentations of the results, accomplished throughout the year. Presentations were held in Kutaisi on June 24, in Batumi on June 28 and in Tbilisi on June 29. Civics club project presentations featured student efforts for identification of the community needs and implementation of activities to address these needs in the respective regions. At presentations, students spoke about large scale campaigns, which they carried out to support healthy lifestyle and clean environment. Different projects, implemented by students addressed topics, such as child rights and responsibilities, promotion of the role of school in civic life, promotion of volunteerism and involvement of parents in students’ civic initiatives. Through their involvement in civics clubs, students have participated in club elections, worked to develop club strategy and work plans, created club bylaws and practiced delegation of responsibilities among club members.
