On May 17, 2012, the PH International within the ZANG Armenia Legal Socialization Program (ALSP) partnering with RA Police and UNICEF initiated the opening of the 10th Community Justice Center in Ejmiatsin. The CJC is hosted by the "Cross of Armenian Unity" local NGO, that is one of the very first non-governmental organizations in Armenia that provides social, educational, cultural, health programs to the community. Like any other CJC, operating within ZANG program, this new center will implement restorative justice programming for juvenile offenders of non-violent crimes, through active partnership among law enforcement officials, child protection state units and the community. The activities of the CJCs aim to reduce youth delinquency and crime, and support public safety.
