Two Day Regional Trainings in 7 Communities of Armenia

Armenia | Armenia Community Action and Linkages for Legal Socialization | 21 May 2015

Following the ToT on “Non-violent Parenting and Conflict Resolution” in April, the 14 trained professionals conducted two day regional trainings to 70-75 specialists: community-based educators, social workers, psychologists, and juvenile police officers. The trainings were successfully conducted in 7 regions, during which the 14 trained specialists transferred the new skills and knowledge on positive parenting and conflict resolution to their peers from their respective communities.

Relying on the applied learning component of the training, each of these 70-75 specialists have already started working with parents from their communities transferring the knowledge gained at the 2-day trainings or applying it in their everyday work during the trainings, meetings or small discussions organized for parents from their schools and organizations they represent, with the close guidance of the 14 trained trainers. The process is underway, and the beneficiary parents’ feedback proves that they find the assistance and the practical support of the specialists extremely useful and helpful for them to improve relations in their families. Discussions during the training events prompt that there is increased interest in parenting issues in the regions, thus, this activity within the AM CALLS proves to be a proper and timely reaction to the needs of the parents.

Close monitoring and support is regularly provided by the AM CALLS staff tothe extended training and knowledge sharing processes in the field.
