09.05.2011 | U.S Ambassador to Georgia Mr. John Bass Awards the Access Program Students with Enrollment Certificates

Award of Access Program Enrollment Certificates held in the months of April and May in Rustavi, Ozurgeti, Akhaltsikhe and Gori was one of the important highlights of the second quarter of program implementation and had a tremendous value and importance for increasing the students’ motivation.

Each and every student enrolled in the program was awarded the Access Program enrollment certificates signed by the U.S Ambassador to Georgia Mr. John Bass. In Rustavi and Ozurgeti, Ambassador Bass personally handed the certificates to the students and congratulated them on the enrollment in the program. In Akhaltskhe Mr. Kent Logsdon, Deputy Chief of Mission performed this honorable duty, while in Gori, Mr. Saul Hernandez, Acting Public Affairs Officer of the U.S. Embassy greeted the Access Program participants and presented them with the enrollment certificates.

“Enrollment in the Access Program is extremely important for me and my peers. I strongly believe that it will open up the doors into the big world of education and good jobs for many of us”, said Nicholas Kasradze, participant of Access Program in Gori after the enrollment ceremony. “This two year program gives an exceptional chance to the children from socio-economically disadvantaged families to have access to education they would not be able to afford otherwise. Kids know how lucky they are to be a part of this program “, admitted Tamar Glonti, Access Program Coordinator in Ozurgeti after posing for a picture together with the ambassador and Access Program participants as the final part of the enrollment ceremony.
